CM350 Safety Tilt Crucible Furnace

The CM350 Crucible Furnace is fully COSHH Regulations compliant and has been designed and manufactured based on well proven Flamefast technology. The natural draught burner unit can be run on either Natural Gas or on LPG bottled gas. The Crucible Furnace will melt up to 2 litres of Aluminium in 35 minutes. To improve the casting operation, there is a durable stainless steel top tile to preheat ingots
of Aluminium.

The CM350 is a safety tilt crucible which removes the need to lift the pot of molten metal unless lifting is required for the particular mould configuration being used. If lifting is required, a special lifting frame is available which lifts the whole drum assembly rather than the "bare" white hot crucible pot to improve safety of working. The Crucible Furnace is usually placed on a Flamefast Raised Sand Tray which removes the need for a casting pit, raises the crucible to a more convenient working height and means that only protective leggings are needed rather than protective footwear.

The burner has a piezo igniter and is fitted with flame failure protection. The essential simplicity of the CM350 means that the unit requires minimum maintenance.

If required the drum assembly can be detached and carried to the mould using the Combined Lifting and Pouring Tools which are available as optional extras.

As with all Flamefast equipment, the CM350 Safety Tilt Crucible Furnace is covered by the Flamefast unconditional 2 year warranty.

CM350PB Safety Tilt Crucible Furnace

The CM350PB Crucible Furnace is COSHH Regulations compliant and has been designed and manufactured based on well proven Flamefast technology. The single phase whisper quiet blown air burner unit can be run on either Natural Gas or on LPG bottled gas.

The Crucible Furnace will melt up to 2 litres of Brass or Bronze in 35 minutes and 2 litres of Aluminium in 25 minutes. To improve the casting operation, there is a durable stainless steel top tile to preheat ingots of metal.

Made specifically with the jeweller in mind, the CM353PB is an alternative drum assembly available with a smaller lift out A3 crucible with a hinged lid. This feature makes it ideal for jewellers and others involved in melting small quantities of precious metals. In tests 500 gms of brass have been melted in four minutes and gold in six. The crucible drum has been designed so that it can be interchangeable with that of the standard drum housing the A10 crucible pot.

CRM700 Tilting Crucible Furnace

The CRM700 has a motorised safety tilt system that is push-button operated. When the tilt button is pressed the unit will slowly rise from the rest position towards the pouring position. With the tilt button pressed, the unit will slowly pour the molten metal into a target mould. When the tilt button is released, the unit begins to return to the rest position. The unit can be held in one position by continuously pressing and releasing the tilt button.

Ignition is automatic and there is an automatic flame control with no user interaction required. On ignition, the crucible furnace is automatically put on a low heat for about 5 minutes to preheat the chamber and crucible pot before ramping up to full heat input. This helps to reduce the risk of thermal shock.

This furnace has the ability to think for itself. It can re-establish firing conditions, maintain correct gas/air ratios and shut off safely if the mains electrical power or gas is cut off. Efficient insulation and refractory materials give fast heating together with fuel gas economy.
